Aanval 5, build 50306 was released this morning and includes several fixes and feature changes including a new action management display, account management display, installation updates and more.
The snort signature management system is next on our list of items to receive a refresh.

We are approaching the public release of Aanval v5 after months of hard work and significant changes to both the front and back-ends of the snort and syslog interface.
It has been nearly 1 year since Aanval 4 was migrated from a standard HTML / AJAX control panel, to a full Adobe Flex RIA front-end.

We are very pleased to be on a much newer and larger platform than previous iterations of the site have been.

An Air version of Aanval exists at this point, not publicly available… but it does exist.
It exists and functions identically to the web based Flex app, because it is simply a compiler change that enables us to provide the desktop version.

Let me start by saying, that we are unable to provide a lot of details on the upcoming changes, mainly due to feature sets not solidifying.
What I can leak, is that Aanval 5 uses a new datastore mechanism that is only 2 years old, however boasts a much better feature set that will allow for [...]

Aanval 5 has been under development for the past few months, and some big changes are taking place.
We are going to maintain the same Flex interface and look / feel, however the back-end system will receive some pretty heavy updates.

FYI: As of version 4.1 Aanval is now a part of Tactical FLEX and no longer Remote Assessment.
