OS X 10.5.7 Update Security Error

During the automated update to 10.5.7 this afternoon, this little alert window was fun.

The update "Mac OS X Update" can't be saved.
The digital signature for this package is incorrect.
The package may have been tampered with or
corrupted since being signed by "Apple".

I’ve only been a convert to the way of Mac for just more than 5 years, but this is the first time I have seen this particular error.
